Abstract: Lily Gladstone, a Native American actress with Blackfeet and Nez Perce ancestry, is receiving Oscar buzz for her performance in Martin Scorsese's film Killers of the Flower Moon. If she receives an Academy Award nomination, she will be the first Native American actress to be nominated for Best Actress. Gladstone's portrayal of Mollie Burkhart, an Indigenous Osage woman whose family was murdered for their oil-rich land, has already earned her Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations. She has been acting since a young age and has previously received recognition for her role in the film Certain Women. [Extracted from the article]
