Abstract: The Migration Gravel Race (MGR) is a challenging 416-mile race that takes place in Kenya's Maasai Mara, a popular safari destination. The race is unique because it involves the local Maasai community in every aspect, providing employment and showcasing the economic value of the land. Keiya, a Kenyan gravel racer, shares his journey of becoming a professional cyclist, overcoming challenges and setbacks to earn a spot on Team Amani, which supports aspiring athletes. Other participants, like Pearly Spevere and Kevin Kariuki, also highlight the race's importance in supporting East African riders and promoting community involvement. [Extracted from the article]
