Abstract: Dreams are not static and can change significantly as we age. Research on the evolution of dreams across our lifespan is limited, but some findings have emerged. In childhood, dreams often involve animals and family members, while in adolescence, recurring dreams may involve confrontations with monsters and animals. Adults tend to dream about familiar people and have less physical aggression in their dreams. In old age, dreams become more reflective and may focus on legacies and interactions with loved ones. Dreams can also occur at the end of life, with some patients in hospice care experiencing vivid and intense dreams. [Extracted from the article]
