Abstract: At the height of his fame in the late 1940s and early 1950s, Farley Granger was one of Hollywood's most promising actors. Discovered by Samuel Goldwyn, he went on to star in two of Alfred Hitchcock's most famous thrillers, Rope (1948) and Strangers on a Train (1951). Later he appeared in Luchino Visconti's Senso (1954), a landmark of postwar Italian cinema. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
