Abstract: In chapter 11, Suits elaborates on his previous claim that Utopian games are superior to Luddite games. Suits here discusses a game in which equality of skill and fairness are maximized, and the paradoxes produced by such a game. Bernard Suits is without a doubt one of the most influential scholars in the philosophy of sport. It recalls the nature of Utopia in which there is no need for instrumental actions and that consists fundamentally (if not exclusively) in the playing of games that makes it possible to retain enough effort in Utopia to make life worth living (Suits [2], 182-189).
