Abstract: The article discusses the role of architectural journals in design in Croatia during the mid-to-late 20th century. Particular focus is given to the periodical "Arhitektura". The authors examine the relationships between design, architecture, and industrial design and the links between Yugoslav political ideology and visual culture. It is suggested that ideas about industrial design were spread through architecture and architectural literature. Details on housing exhibitions in Ljubljana, Croatia and Zagreb, Croatia, are presented. Other topics include modernism and technology.
