Abstract: The article presents the findings from a report on 2017 book sales in Canada from nonprofit organization BookNet Canada. These include the decline of the trade market of print book sales in 2017, the increase of the number of units sold overall when compared with the data in 2016 as well as the decline of the amount of money Canadians spent on books. The largest gain in value sold was in the category of non-fiction which grew from $423.4 million in 2016 to $453.5 million in 2017.
