Abstract: Schuetz thus reconstitutes the narrative of housing policy from undisputed socioeconomic patterns and trends into a novel, legible, critical, and empirically based account of American housing systems. Schuetz argues that housing disparities reinforce structural inequalities across the spectrum of life outcomes, exacerbating gaps in wealth, education, and health.
