Abstract: Oxford University Press (OUP), a department of the University of Oxford, is engaged in book publishing. The press has a diverse publishing program that includes scholarly works in all academic disciplines, Bibles, music, school and college textbooks, children's books, materials for teaching English as a foreign language, business books, dictionaries and reference books, and academic journals. The press operates in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas and South Africa. It is headquartered in Oxford, the UK, and employs around 5,500 people. The press recorded revenues of £759.2 million (approximately $1,200.2 million) in the fiscal year ended March 2013, an increase of 5% over 2012. The press's operating profit was £116.2 million (approximately $183.7 million) in fiscal 2013, an increase of 1.5% over 2012.
