Abstract: The article analyses food security in the Baltic States and identifies the main factors that determine it. The aim is to assess the level and differences in food security in the Baltic States. In order to assess the impact of food security factors in the Baltic States, a research methodology has been developed that includes a system of indicators at both national and regional levels. Food prices and income have been found to have the greatest impact on food security, especially for the poor. The results of the research can be used in investigating the problem of ensuring food security in the countries of the European Union and in preparing scientific studies on issues of ensuring food security.
