| Abstract: | This article presents information about various academic bestsellers in Great Britain as of October 15, 2005. With all the clamour of celebrity authors at the top end of the bestseller lists, the vital area for many booksellers of academic titles can struggle to make its voice heard. When revenue from these titles is calculated, the share of the market almost doubles to 11.8%. Data shows that 24 of them had average sales of more than 500 a week with, as usual, "The Study Skills Handbook," by Stella Cottrell, the market leader. Another book is "Exploring Corporate Strategy," by Gerry Johnson. |
