| Abstract: | The article discusses the creation of computer-generated (CG) animation effects for the films "I Am Legend," "Fred Claus" and "Enchanted." Kevin Lima masterminded Enchanted's blend of animation and live action. Tippett Studio created the photorealistic CG animals and insects and other scenes. A crew of approximately 35 people at Cinesite spent about a year helping develop CG reindeers for "Fred Claus." Imageworks modelers built some structures in the film "I Am Legend" using survey data and LIDAR scans. |
