| Abstract: | The article offers a look at the link between the box office and the bookshops in Great Britain in 2008. The author describes how celebrities have influenced book sales and the book industry. Neilsen BookScan reported that celebrity memoirs increased the sales of book retailers by 38.5 percent during the year. In addition, books about celebrity chefs have also posted great sales. A chart that shows the top 20 films and television tie-in books is also presented. |
