| Abstract: | In this article the author comments on the resignation of David Laws, a member of parliament and secretary to the British Treasury. In doing so it became inadvertently apparent that Laws was a gay man. The author discusses his experience of being the first openly gay member of Parliament from the Conservative Party. |
