Abstract: Abstract Related theoretical research on reasoning with evidence and compares it to the hybrid theory. It deals with the Anchored Narratives Theory (Crombag, van Koppen and Wagenaar) as well as the Wigmorean Analysis advocated by Anderson, Schum, Tillers and Twining. Formal models of evidential reasoning are also discussed: a coherence-based approach and a model-based reasoning approach are shown as well as a model based on probabilistic (Bayesian) calculations.
