Whakarāpopotonga: This article describes the results of the author's doctoral dissertation research in educational leadership. Her quantitative study aimed to explore the relationships between art education, leadership skills, and creativity through research and existing literature. This research is vital because, art educators, use leadership skills to teach creativity in their classrooms, and they need to exercise their leadership skills beyond their classrooms to advocate for their profession. They can promote art education through showcasing student work, conversing with their administration, and engaging with art education organizations that lobby on their behalf.
