Abstract: The article focuses on various developments related to journalism education in the universities and colleges of the United States. Various reports such as the appointment of new administrators to some of the universities, the appointment of faculties, the promotions and degrees granted to some faculties, leaves, and retirements of the faculties, the awards granted to faculties, and also the tributes offered to some of the faculties who have died, have been highlighted in the article. Mark Popvich has been promoted as professor at Ball State university; James W. Johnson has been promoted as associate professor at the University of Arizona; James R. Jordan, former assistant to the president for university relations at Indiana University has died on October 25, 1982; Virginia A. Harris, associate professor in advertising at the University of Minnesota, has retired.
