| Abstract (English): | This article focuses on the architecture photography analyzed in the pages of the Argentinean magazine Nuestra Arquitectura (Our Architecture) from its beginnings until 1955. The author maintains here that the discourse of these images - which regard photography as text - gathered together sufficient conditions so as to consolidate the beginning of the Modern Movement in the local context. This study is based on the communication mechanisms that facilitated the construction and spread of new codes, whose paradigmatic criteria took into account visual perception, space aesthetics and volume. They favored the shape of an architectural object over its habitability, and installed the form of an imaginary modernity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | El presente artículo analiza la fotografía de arquitectura en las páginas de la revista argentina Nuestra Arquitectura en sus ediciones hasta 1955. Se sostiene aquí que el discurso de estas imágenes-que considera a la fotografía como texto-, reunió las condiciones suficientes para consolidar la apertura del Movimiento Moderno en el contexto local. El studio se basa en los dispositivos de comunicación que facilitaron la construcción y difusión de los nuevos códigos que atendieron, como criterio paradigmático la percepción visual, la estética del espacio y la masa volumétrica, ponderando la forma por sobre la función de habitabilidad a la que se debe todo objeto arquitectónico e instalaron la formulación de su imaginario de modernidad.
