| Abstract: | The article focuses on the video/sound installation of artist Mona Hatoum and the works of artist Trevor Paglen in the 2016 Deutsche Borse Photography Foundation Prize and their implication on the incessant media rhetoric surrounding the European Union referendum debates. Topics covered include the concerns of Paglen with the limits of visual culture in representing state phenomena and the idea of Hatoum that bodies are externally diverse and internally similar. |
