Abstract: The article focuses on the controversy associated with the Museum of Contemporary Art designed by Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates located in La Jolla, San Diego, California. It examines the factors that motivate plans to reconstruct the museum to maximize its uses and adapt with the contemporary design. It also explores the significant uses of the museum which shows how architects can evolve in a place without destroying it.
