Abstract: Based on the over 30-year experience of the team that laid the foundations and developed the first academic specialization in the Science of Cultural Heritage Conservation in Romania, a series of modern aspects regarding the role of exact sciences and engineering were highlighted. These are represented by eight lucrative subdomains with their liberating professions, harmonizing the nomenclature in the field, substantiating the conservation levels with their priorities and the two groups of heritage elements and functions, the development of new archeometric and chemometric dating methods, new preservation-restoration materials and technologies and the development of criteria with quantification grids used in the evaluation of the stock market share or catalog. Related to these aspects, the reaserch briefly presents in a systemic form the results of the collective of the ARHEOINVEST Center of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research of "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași, obtained in the activity of scientific and technological research, with a degree of innovation.
