Abstract: The article discusses the architectural works of Bohuslav Fuchs, the renowned synthetist of regional traditions in the Czechoslovak architecture between the wars. It notes that Fuchs did not attempt for contextual architecture but has succeeded in integrating his principles and architectural standards into the historic environment. It adds that Fuchs has won the competition for the building of the Moravian Bank in the 20th century which gave him the opportunity to set the functionality of his modern architecture.
