Description
Summary:This book discusses quality in professional psychology training. A national conference and self-study is presented. Part I of this publication presents the papers or summaries of papers that were presented at the conference (National Council of Schools of Professional Psychology [NCSPP]), along with a brief summary of its closing session. During that session, council members decided to conduct an organized self-study directed toward the appraisal and improvement of quality in the education of professional psychologists. Seven survey instruments were developed to provide structure for the self-study and sent to the NCSPP members, associates, and affiliates in the spring of 1982. To obtain additional information on study topics, a follow-up questionnaire was mailed in the spring of 1983. Information obtained through the two surveys was consolidated and analyzed and reports were prepared in 1984 and 1985. These reports appear as Part II of this publication, along with a more detailed description of survey development. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2004 APA, all rights reserved).
