For the colonial French authorities, his forceful opposition becomes an obstacle to the successful setting up of a nuclear testing site in the Pacific. In the name of reasons of State, a strategy is implemented to isolate the man capable of ruining the plans of a nation. Victim of a frame-up in October 1958, he is arrested, imprisoned and sentenced to 15 years in exile. |
