| Summary: | Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is an inflammatory disorder of the nose and paranasal sinuses with symptoms persisting for at least 3 months. The treatment paradigm for CRS includes medical therapy as the cornerstone, coupled with endoscopic sinus surgery in refractory cases. To date, however, no FDA-approved treatments exist for medical treatment of CRS, and most treatment algorithms rely on expert opinion supplemented by available peer-review data. This underscores the need for a comprehensive primer to optimize the care of CRS patients. This book is a detailed compendium on the medical and surgical treatment of CRS, with or without polyposis.
