Summary: | A video from ECU's archive of documentaries and teaching films. This production illustrates the Minimum Schedule for Routine Contacts in child health practice, as recommended by the National Health and Medical Research Council 1994. It has been developed primarily as an educational aid for students undertaking the Community and Child Health programme. It is divided into segments according to the Schedule and each segment includes a demonstration of the main areas to be covered by the nurse and a list of the "Key Points" to be addressed in each. The aim of the program is to illustrate the behavioural aspects of child health practice, that is , the nurse/client interaction and relationship and how the health appraisal of children is conducted according to the recommended minimum schedule. Produced by Phil Pearson. |
