A meaningful documentation of the school that was founded in 1905 as the Institute of Musical Art. The composer Peter Mennin became president of the school, renamed “The Juilliard School of Music”, after William Schuman resigned in 1962. In 1969 the school moved to Lincoln Center and has grown in importance ever since. |
